Badminton Coach Tim Rosinbum just hit an awesome coaching milestone winning his 100th match with a 9-0 victory over Valley Vista on September 13th.
Coach Rosinbum has been the badminton coach for 9 years and when asked, “why badminton?” Tim stated “I wanted to get involved coaching a sport and this was the one available. It was a brand new program at the time, so it was an opportunity to make a mark.”
His teams have had many successes over the years but a couple stand outs have been Mackenzie Whitten winning the 2016 Individual Singles State Championship and being the 2017 Team State Runners up.
Asked about the future Coach said “The future looks bright, we have a large team and girls that love to play. Win or lose, we give great effort. I am excited to work with this team.”
Ridge Athletic Director Junior Michael said “Tim is an exceptional educator and coach. Everything he does is student-centered and we are lucky to have him. He is constantly an exemplar and someone I look up to.”
The badminton team surprised Coach Rosinbum with a small celebration of his 100 win mark.
Congratulations Coach Rosinbum, Ridge thanks you for your hard work and dedication!
