KAITLIN TUCAY – BADMINTON
Kaitlin went 12-2 in Doubles. 13-1 in Singles. All playing at the #1 spot. GPA, community involvement and excellent leadership are her hallmarks. Without her dominance we would never have made it to the semifinals, losing to the eventual state champions Perry. She was able to place at the state tournament in 4th in doubles. She was a dominant force this season and just a terrific teammate and athlete. – Coach Tim Rosinbum
KYLER STANCATO – FOOTBALL
I would like to nominate Kyler Stancato for the athlete of the month. Kyler recently signed his LOI to play baseball at Washington State University but has starred on the field for us this season. He was recently selected to the All-Region team by the staffs of our region opponents, and to the All-District team by our own coaching staff. Despite not playing football for Mountain Ridge before this season Kyler has accumulated stats that include 1,078 receiving yards (#1 in Region by 213 yards), ranks 4th in the region in points scored in the season (84 points), and ranks 4th in the region in touchdowns (14). Additionally, in certain defensive packages or situations Kyler has flipped to the defensive side of the ball and made several big plays for us to either secure a victory or provide us with an opportunity to get back into a game.
